Welcome to pittsburghartists.com.The idea for this website started in my head years ago for a primarily selfish reason. I like making movies and like playing music, but always seem to have to struggle to find people to collaborate with. I was convinced that these people were out there just looking for a way to find me, or someone like me. As time passed the desire to find the right people turned into the idea of an online community that allowed users to share their work and foster collaboration. After a bit more, the idea turned a smattering of code that could be used as pretty much nothing.

However, after attending the Idea Roundup I found that a lot of people seemed into the idea and I decided to redouble my efforts and what you see here is the product of those efforts. A website devoted to collaboration, cultivation, and commiseration of the Pittsburgh artists free to all and open to the public.

If you are an artist please take the time and register and then create a Artist page to let us know that you are out there. If you are not an artist don’t run away scared. Your input here is just as valid, please register and contribute the various conversations in our message boards.
